The Gallery is an exciting part of the Forge Centre.

This space is flexible and used by artists, community groups, schools, it benefits tourists, visitors and residents. This vibrant part of the centre promotes contemporary and traditional art and crafts practice through a rolling programme of monthly exhibitions that have been continued monthly over the past 8 years. Focused on the diversity of local creative practitioners, the gallery maintains a quality of work displayed and its gained a reputation for it's ability to challenge and stimulate visitors.

The exhibition programme reflects all techniques and materials – Eco Crafts showing how to use the natural environment of the Allen Valleys.

SUPPORT is given to young emerging makers, artists and film makers who are encouraged to showcase work and collaborate. We also fundraise on the young people's behalf so they gain financially and learn how to promote their work and secure their own sponsorship. One of the ways we can do that, for example is, a talanted young photographer held his own gallery exhibitin at the Forge as one of our youth project members and we where able to organise for the Hexham Courant Newspaper to sponser and pay for Will's exhibitin and markering fees while offering top-tips to funding a long the way.

INTERNATIONAL WORK  explores opportunities to either tour work abroad or bring international makers to Allendale.
